Chapter 1:GENERAL

DESCRIPTION ABOUT RATU INDAH MALL

§  HERE'S the mall with family mall concept that provides all the needs of families in one place. Equipped with facilities food court and cinema Studio 21.
Dr. Sam Ratulangi Road No. 35, Makassar.

§  Ratu Indah Mall is the oldest mall in Makassar. Founded in 2001 and has a strategic location in the center of Makassar. This mall is easily accessible. The location is also adjacent to the Hotel Sahid Jaya Makassar.

§  This mall building occupies an area of ​​50,000 square meters. In addition to building the mall, the area is also used as vehicle parking space large enough. Building the mall consists of four floors with prominent tenants.

§  The first floor is occupied by several tenants such as Hero Supermarket (retail), Java Dept Store (fashion), Sport Station (shoes and sports equipment) Sony (electronics), Bread Talk (pastry shop and bakery), Black Canyon (coffee shops), Pizza Hut , and several other fashion tenants.

§  The second floor is occupied by several tenants such as Java Dept Store (fashion), Planet Surf (fashion), Pointbreak (fashion), Kentucky Fried Chicken (food), California Fried Chicken (food), Es Teler 77 (food), Excelso (coffee shop) , Scholastic Book Store, and some tenants fahion.

§  The third floor is occupied by several such as Disc Tara (music),several food and fashion tenants, food court, Time Zone (games),and Layar Cafe. Then the fourth floor is occupied by XXI cinema that plays the latest movies.

ž The opinion from labour :

According Ridho,the one of labour at Ratu Indah Mall :

§   His opinion about Ratu Indah Mall,the mall is elite rather than the other malls

§  Excess Ratu Indah Mall is neater,the place is elite and luxurious and comfortable because the place is cleaner.

§  Lack of Ratu Indah Mall is the location of parking area that is not closed, so the motor cycle can be rain or heat any time.

§  For critique and suggestion he want to the building of Mall is expanded and supplemented.

ž From the visitors of Ratu Indah Mall

    According Mrs.Rina,the one of visitor Ratu Indah Mall:

   "My opinion about the Ratu Indah Mall is a better place than the other malls, it was not like the market, and not too crowd. Usually I come here four times in one month. I go to this mall to take my kids to go play, because the game is better than other malls .And to excess is transportation to get there is good, can be reached by the community and its place in my opinion quite strategic. If for operational hours MARI short comings are too slow to open. Critics and my suggestion that the opening hours Ratu Indah Mall more accelerated from 10 am to 8 am. “

According Hj.Fahira,the visitor of Ratu Indah Mall :

“I think Ratu Indah Mall is very good. If for the excess I feel more comfortable and more flexibility for spending because here many famous brands. But unfortunately the mushallah and the toilet still dirty. I think Ratu Indah Mall must to fix the mushallah and the toilet to be  cleaner, especially mushallah because it is a place of worship, and we need a clean place for pray that we feel comfortable”

According Mr.Hasan Basri (visitor of Ratu Indah Mall )

“My opinion about the Ratu Indah Mall, the mall is good for the capacity of the mall, brandied too and the mall is suitable for middle to upper class. For the excess coverage to the Ratu Indah Mall is easy because the located of the Mall at the midpoint of the city of Makassar, complete of facilities, and providing famous brands. And the weakness is parking area,because the capacity of parking area is not to enough.For my critic and suggestions is the capacity of parking area it is best to larger.”

According Mrs. Yeni (visitor of Ratu Indah Mall) :

"I think Ratu Indah Mall is so good, and this mall is suitable for middle to upper class. The excess of Ratu Indah Mall is the facilities complete, provide all we needs, and have are good outlets. For the weakness, is parking area, that are still narrow, and also customer service that is very less responsive. For critic and suggestion is the parking area it is best to larger and the customer service it is best the responsive to be quicken.”

The opinion from the owner shop :

According Mr. Aga( the owner of Planet Surf ) :

“Ratu Indah Mall has a strategic location because it is in the center of Makassar and suitable for middle to upper class. The excess is, its strategic location and is in the center of Makassar city. The weakness is the location of parking area is still narrow and if there are complaints from tenants rather slow to service. Critic and my suggestion the service to increase again and more the event.”

A.CONCLUSION

v Opinion about Ratu Indah Mall :

-         Ratu Indah Mall,is the elite mall rather than the other malls. Better place than the other malls. The mall is so good and suitable for middle to upper class.

v The excess and weakness :

For the excess :

-          Ratu Indah Mall is neater,the place is elite and luxurious and comfortable because the place is cleaner. comfortable and more flexibility for spending because here many famous brands.

-         Facilities complete, provide all we needs, and have are good outlets.

-         It’s strategic location and is in the center of Makassar city.

For the weakness :

-         The location of parking area that is not closed.

-         Parking area,because the capacity of parking area is not to enough.

-         The customer service is very less to responsive.

-         Service of complaints from tenants rather slow .

v Critics and suggestions :

-         The building of Mall is expanded and supplemented.

-         The opening hours Ratu Indah Mall more accelerated from 10 am to 8 am.

-         Must to fix the mushallah and the toilet to be  cleaner.

-         The parking area it is best to larger and the customer service it is best the responsive to be quicken

-         The service to increase again and more the event.

v And based from our observation visitors on weekend more than the usual days. Although at that time was heavy rain.

B.CRITICS and SUGGESTION

The critic from the writer to Ratu Indah Mall is the customer service it is best the responsive to be quicken. And the suggestion from the writer to Ratu Indah Mall is mushallah and the toilet to be  cleaner. And also the parking area it is best to larger.
